It has been produced by Swastik Pictures and features actors such as Saurabh Raj Jain as Lord Krishna, Shaheer Sheikh as Arjuna, Pooja Sharma as Draupadi, Aham Sharma as Karna and Arav Chowdhary as Bhishma Pitamah. The producers had creative associations with writer Salim Khan, author Devdutt Pattanaik, designer Bhanu Athaiya, music directors Ajay-Atul and Ismail Darbar, action director Ram Shetty and set designer Omang Kumar. The casting of the show is done by Sahil Ansari, Mahesh Chandra Bhatt, Arun Mitra. It started broadcasting on 16 September 2013.

The Gopis complain to Yashoda about Krishna stealing their butter and Yashoda worries about Krishna. Meanwhile, Nand frets about the taxes to be paid to Kans. They decide to relocate to Vrindavan. Krishna begins to reveal his powers.

Krishna and his friends ruin the yagna organised to pacify Indradev. Indradev is angry and it begins to rain heavily. Krishna lifts the Govardhan hill to provide shelter to his people and the cows. Indradev attacks the Govardhan hill.

Kans asks Devaki and Vasudeva about their eighth son. Vasudeva tells him that Balarama and Krishna are his sons. Kans instructs Akroor to bring them both to Mathura. Meanwhile, Yashoda discovers the truth about Krishna's real mother. However, Krishna tells Yashoda he loves her like his own mother.

Krishna reaches Mathura and asks Kans to release his parents and return the kingdom to Ugrasena. Kans challenges Krishna and Balarama to defeat Chanoor and Mushtik. They defeat them, but Kans is already ready with another challenge.
